The largest update since the Dawn 2055 reboot is finally here! After extensive effort and hard work, this update introduces significant changes to settlement gameplay, aiming to enhance the strategic aspect of Dawn. Here are the key features:
New Features
Population Mechanics: Settlements now have population mechanics. Grow your population to gain more workers and build new structures.
Electricity Requirement: Just like population, settlements now require electricity to function fully.
New Buildable Structures: New buildings and structures such as quarries, farms, generators, and windmills are now available.
Physical Expansion: Grow your settlements by placing buildings on the map. Can't build in a forest? Simply cut it down!
Defensive Walls: Add walls to protect your settlements or any other area on the map.
New Player Start Option
A new start option for new players has been introduced, allowing them to create an account with three starting characters and enough resources for the first camp. A tutorial for this start is also planned for the future.
New Map
A new map has been added to complement the update. Players voted on two candidates, which ended in a tie. After careful consideration, the map believed to best fit the game was chosen. The old map has been removed, and the new one has been set in place. All structures and buildings have been completely reset. Items from player inventories have been moved to the Global Inventory, which will unlock on June 28th.
Faction Mechanics
Existing gang mechanics have been reworked. Now, every gang member can participate in settlement gameplay. Additionally, a new type called Factions has been added. Factions allow players to group together without sharing access to their towns. Factions can ally with other gangs or factions, providing more flexibility in gameplay.
